Rogaine After Chemo?
Has anyone use Rogaine after chemotherapy to help hair regrow faster?
Hair normally grows at the rate of about 1/2 inch per month. You can expect your hair to grow back in 3-6 months after you end treatment. Rogaine can possibly cause hair to grow faster. This would be something to discuss with your oncologist.
Good morning @A MyBCTeam Member! My prayers for you to have a lighter spirit today!
Does your cancer center have a salon? They often will help you experiment with wigs. And they might have a variety of hair covering to get you started. Received my first fancy scarves and some fun beanies from them. And you are beautiful no matter what!! Just keep telling yourself that!!,
@A MyBCTeam Member if you get your insides healthy, better for the outside. I know there are vitamins for healthy skin and hair and maybe that is what you could be taking now in preparation of future hair growth. Your hair WILL come back but the healthier you are on the inside will determine how quickly that happens. Good cells die along with the bad cancer cells so look into vitamins for healthy cells. You are going to be fine with at least a head of hair covering your head by summer.
Hair is going to grow back like @A MyBCTeam Member said. Anyone who has recently lost their hair from chemo should pretty much have a headful of hair by early summer. Repair your bodies, get them healthy, when your insides are healthy, it will show on the outside.
