Good Morning All!! Wondering If Anyone Has Experienced Muscle Pain In Their Legs Several Weeks After Their Last Chemo Session.
Wow! So sorry you experience such pain and weren't able to do your last two sessions.
I barely made my last two chemo sessions--you're right, the side effects do get worse with each session. More side effects (nose bleeds, eye twitching, stomach upset, loss of appetite) that were more severe and lasted longer than I expected.
Chemo is cumulative and after the 4th session, I decided not to continue with the 5th & 6th session.
Hi GiGi,
So I didn't experience muscle pain until 3 weeks after my last chemo session. I have been using a heating pad, massager, Epsom salt baths, BenGay, walking, stretching and then started taking a muscle relaxer. However, the issue still persist, although it isn't quite as bad and my legs do not feel quite as heavy as they once did.
Sorry to hear about your leg muscle pain! How are you coping with this? Has this happened after any of your other chemo sessions?
My legs felt very sore and painful after my last chemo session--have not reached my last chemo session yet. From what I understand, chemo is cumulative--side effects get worse with each cycle. Some BC survivors feel the side effects a few weeks after chemo as well.
I went from tired to extreme fatigue and my legs felt as if I had run a marathon in my sleep. I rested, then made an effort to do some moving around for a set amount of time (in my case 20 minutes).
