Is There Anyone Here Who Was Diagnosed With ILC Her2+ That Had 3D Mammo?
I finished TCHP chemo in Jan. Finished radiation in Feb. currently on Herceptin and Perjeta infusions until Oct. it is time for a mammogram(which did not catch my BC). When I asked for MRI instead, they said insurance doesn’t pay. I had an MRI after my biopsy to make sure there weren’t more tumors(there weren’t) My oncologist said it will be 3D mammo which is better, but I still feel MRI is better. Any advice?
I had a 3D image done and was very happy with the pictures. They are very detailed and feels like they r free t just as much information.
Would your insurance cover an ultra sound with your mammogram? The mammogram didn't catch mine either. Wish I would have known to ask for an ultra sound when I had an abnormal mammogram. Praying for you and sending hugs!
Actually, mine was seen in the mammogram which is unusual with ILC.
For now, the plan is mammogram and ultrasound.
Europe has placed a hold on MRI using contrast gadolinium until it can be further studied for safety.
Mammo Failed To Find My Cancer In My Dense Tissue. Ultrasound Found It And Thus May Have Saved My Life. Anyone Had The Same Experience?
