These are all great comments and quality of life is important. If you have chronic nerve pain already then depression the hormone blockers will amplify that. And the oncologist said they do not have enough information on how to treat that. Also I think if menopause hit you hard, the hormone blockers' side effects might be too hard. There is also that this is treatment in early bc for it not to come back.

Hey, I heard these same lies! I keep thinking that since my tumor was 1.4cm, stage 1a very small that I could take a low dose of Tamoxifen. I'm 73 & took HRT for years, I'm taller than my peers😛, good bone health, so far. I quite Anastrozol, estrazol, & now, today, my ONO said to stop exemestane. I hate to get up from a sitting position cuz my knees & legs get stiff quickly & it hurts, I limp a lot. Sometimes I wonder about nurse navigators, not all of them have the same compassion for you. Take care Barb, you sound like a tough confident woman.

No it didn't remove estrogen from my body and hormone blockers only attempt to block hormones and I still have ovaries so therefore some estrogen. that's why letrizole is important for my treatment

@A MyBCTeam Member Removing the tumor didn't remove estrogen from your body. You still have it circulating.
