Mine is a little lighter as compared to your experience with Zolendronic. My fever lasted 2 days and the worst joint pains lasted for 6 days. Though there's still pain on my pelvic & knees but quite minimal and the pain is tolerable. It has been a week now since my last bone therapy, but my body is not going back to normal yet. I still feel fatigue every now and then. I hope this will be over soon. I wish yours too.

First time I had it, it was 5mg IV for 90 minutes drip time with saline. The side effects were horrible. Fever, flu like symptoms, vomiting, joint pain, etc. the knees were the worse, I couldn’t walk. I needed two canes to get around. I told my oncologist and he adjusted the dosage to 3mg 90 minutes drip, but he also added 10mg Prednisone drip, rest for 30 minutes before Zometa IV drip. Next day 40 mg Prednisone, on 2nd after, 20 mg Prednisone. Side effects are milder, but the knee pain is minimal. I accept side effects if it is for preventing bone loss and damage.
