No side effects whatsoever. At least, not that I notice any. Have been taking Tamoxifen for almost two yers.

@A MyBCTeam Member I wad given Tamoxifen since I still had my period at the time of my breast cancer diagnosis. I was on it for 5 years. I had my uterus to be followed by my gynecologist for endometrial hyperplasia and received my lens replacement at age 54. Endometrial hyperplasia and cataracts are the side effects of tamoxifen

Brie Don't take it but do take Anastrozole my long lasting side effect bone pain daughter is Dr of Infectious Decease Pharmacist said no to Tomoxifen when they discussed with us just be sure to ask questions and feel comfortable with what they tell you 5 years is long time keeping you in my prayers

I had a very hard time on Tamoxifen. It did not make me depressed but it made me very suicidal. It was an uncommon reaction to the medication but it was very definitely the Tamoxifen. Fortunately my doctor believed me and discontinued the drug.

@A MyBCTeam Member I was initially going to be prescribed Tamoxifen but my oncologist said no because I've had blood clots before and was going to put on a monthly shot to shut down my ovaries which would put into menopause and then take anastrazole everyday for 5 years.

After I did my research I chose not to do the shot and pill. To many negative side effects as far as I'm concerned, sure it may not have affected me at all but I didn't care to find out.
