IDC diagnosis in February this year, lesion 5 mm, Stage 1, partial mastectomy April 18th. I am 79 yrs old. Further hormone treatment options being offered ( not Tamoxifen) have some really challenging side effects. I'm not sure that quality of life concerns are being addressed or considered. I would we come a discussion with contemporaries.
I would like to join it. Side effects are horrible so far.
My cousin went for quality. She had stage 3 triple negative. She felt the same. I just posted that some drs over do on the length of medication. Mine is talking 10 ten years. Im almost 66 now.
I would be interested in this discussion. I am 55, had a bilateral mastectomy April 25 and my diagnosis was updated to IDC after my pathology was completed. I am ER/PR +, HER 2- and have no genetic markers, surgeon reported clear margins. I am also getting a recommendation for hormone blocking therapy, which I did not expect after the bilateral mastectomy. I am concerned about the side effects.
