I didn't wear a bra during rads - especially near the end when I was sore. All I cared about was being comfortable 🩷

During radiation, many people find it helpful to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to avoid irritating the skin. Here are some suggestions based on experiences shared by others:

- Soft Camisoles: Wearing a soft camisole under your shirt can provide some support without the tightness of a bra.
- Sports Bras: Some people opt for sports bras, especially as the weather gets warmer.
- Cotton Bras: Choose soft, cotton bras that are not tight-fitting and avoid rubbing.
- Bra Extenders: Using a bra extender can help if the band feels too tight.
- Wire-Free Bras: Wire-free bras with some stretch or removable pads can offer more flexibility and comfort.

It's generally recommended to avoid underwire bras during this time to prevent irritation and allow for better lymph flow. Always follow your doctor's recommendations for the best results.

I am a 38F. I used a soft cotton lined sports bra with slight compression during rads. Towards the end, I actually would pad even further with a soft linen handkerchief in that area. At my age of 79, gravity has had it's fun and without a bra I would be bulging at the waist and probably end up with whiplash. At home a soft T shirt helped on some days. And I used the cream given me religiously! My skin never broke open, Susan, that must have been painful. So sorry you had to deal with that too!

I am a 38D and at end of radiation same thing, Comfort... I wore a t strap semi snug under looser clothes. I couldn't put a bra on where my skin broke open.❀️ Tried it one time, once to many...
