If the scar area is tightening- the PT can also teach you specific stretches and massage techniques to help keep that stretched and less painful. Hope you are able to get the referrals soon! Hugs!

You can call your PCP today and get a referral. You do not need to suffer with this any more til your appointed visit with him.
Or call any of the oncologists that you have on the phone or My Chart.

None of them have a clue that you have this problem as you have not told them.

Check out the PCP’s offices to see who uses ultrasound sound before requesting a referral. That way, you get a referral to the one who does this.
Then when you ask for a ref, ask for it to that one.

These appointments to get in the door with a lymphedema PT may take 2 months or less if you are lucky.

You have to be assertive to get the care that you need

I haven't tried yet but that is very interesting that this can be done. I will check with my GP the next time l visit him. Thank you for that information.
