Your follow-up care schedule will depend on your specific situation and your doctor's recommendations. Generally, for the first five years after breast cancer treatment, doctors will monitor you closely. For stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), the risk of recurrence is highest in the first three years. After five years, the recurrence rates drop significantly. It's important to follow your oncologist's advice regarding PET scans and other follow-up tests. Always discuss any concerns or questions with your healthcare provider.
