I had very intense sharp pains after my biopsy in the affected breast. They almost felt like electrical shocks. It ended up being “zingers” as they called it. It happens when severed nerves are trying to reconnect and it’s ouchy! After a few weeks it was gone.

I have occasional post surgical pain from where my tumor was removed. It isn't bad. Even though I was careful to raise my arm on the surgical side multiple times a day, it is still sore where the two lymph nodes were removed when I lift my arm. It has been nine months and it surprised me that it is still sore.

Yes!! I had invasive ductal carcinoma and when I had my lump, it actually hurt…I swear I could feel it growing and it would like, pulsate with pain. You’re not crazy. I think some people are super in tune with their body…my opinion.

Yes, people with breast cancer can experience intermittent pain in the breast with tumors. Here are some key points from my knowledge base:

- Pain as a Symptom: Pain is not a common symptom of early-stage breast cancer but is more frequent in advanced stages or specific types like inflammatory breast cancer and Paget’s disease of the nipple.
- Types of Pain: Pain can be acute, persistent, or breakthrough.
- Metastatic Breast Cancer: Pain can occur in different body parts depending on where the cancer has spread, such as the lungs, bones, brain, kidneys, or liver.
- Treatment Side Effects: Pain can also result from treatments like surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and hormone therapy.

If you experience pain, it's important to discuss it with your healthcare team to manage it effectively.
