AI And Tendinitis???
Is anyone taking an AI having lots of tendinitis? I’ve had it in rotator cuff, Achilles, wrist/thumb (de Quervain’s), fingers (trigger finger) and foot (plantar fasciitis). Could they be related?
Very much so.. I was on Anastrazole, got trigger thumb on left hand and right thumb so bad couldnt open door. They sent me to ortho dr got injection in both thumbs. Cured my trigger thumb, made my right thumb feel so much better. Switched me to letrazole. After about 9-10 months right thumb right back to where I started and other problems back knees hip etc. going back for another injection. They switched me to tamoxifen. They said it wouldnt cause any bone or joint pain as it doesnt take estrogen away. It just makes it so cancer cant eat the estrogen. Praying this one works as there is only 4 to choose from. Oncologist told me if I have problems to let her know immediately as quality of life matters. Good luck.
Wow- that's a lot! I had bouts of plantar fasciitis before bc, and I don't take AI- but if I feel it getting a little tight, a few nights of sleeping with the brace will usually take care of it. It keeps my foot/leg at a 90 degree angle, versus toes pointing down. This prevents it from tightening up. I got mine at CVS years ago. Hope you can figure out what the cause is, and find a solution! Gentle hugs!

It also depends on what AI that you are taking for where tendinitis would be.
AIs can cause this pain.
