It's normal to feel some soreness after port insertion. Here are a few tips to help manage the discomfort:

- Pain Management: Minor pain and soreness are common and should subside within a day or two. If the pain increases, contact your oncologist

- Pain Management: Minor pain and soreness are common and should subside within a day or two. If the pain increases, contact your oncologist.
- Bandage Care: Don’t remove any bandages until your doctor advises you to.
- Seat Belt Cushioning: Use a small pillow or seat belt pad to avoid pressure on your port when driving.
- Avoid Heavy Lifting: Don’t lift heavy objects until cleared by your doctor.
- Monitor for Complications: Watch for signs of infection like increased pain, swelling, oozing, fever, or chills. If you notice any of these, contact your oncologist immediately.
