Tamoxifen is taken daily, often for at least five years, to reduce the risk of breast cancer recurrence. Common side effects include hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and menstrual changes. It’s important to take it at the same time daily and discuss any side effects with your doctor, as they may have ways to help manage them. It can make your legs hurt but they don't have to be swollen. Swollen legs is a listed side effect. My legs didn't swell but they hurt like hell. I made them change the medication to another one. Good luck hope you do well.

Tamoxifen effects everyone differently. It can effect your menstrual cycles, cause hot flashes vaginal dryness and discharges and edema. Write down any side effects you have
and how they make you feel. Call or see your doctor and go over each one. He may have suggestions to help you or other options. Good luck to you. Please stay in touch. Much love and endless hugs!!
