@A MyBCTeam Member.
What a fantastic idea , a smaller heated throw . I have been awake with joint pains for the past 2 hours. Going to get one today.

Also intense itching. I think this Letrozole is good because it has held my MBC and lung cancer steady for 2 years.

But the side effects are killing me. What a catch 22 situation.

Sorry for whining.

Hope you all have a good day today. 💕

Cindy, my bone pain was helped with heat. At first I tried a heating pad, and since that worked well- just too small for the over-all aches, I bought a heated throw. It's like an electric blanket but smaller- the perfect size for my recliner. I would come home from work, make dinner, do dishes, take some OTC meds, turn on the throw- and go take a nice hot shower to relax all the muscles. Put on some cozy jammies, and jump under the toastiness. It has an auto shut off, so every so often while we watched TV, I would have to turn it back on- lol! It was so comfy, I often fell asleep right there! I also put an electric blanket on the bed. I got the twin size so that I did not cook the hubs overnight! He would often turn that on while I was asleep so all I had to do was stagger from one toasty spot to another! I hope you find something that works for you. If the pains are at specific sites, ask if you need additional imaging to rule out other issues. Hugs!

It sounds like you're experiencing significant bone pain and having difficulty getting the right pain medication from your doctor. Here are some strategies and options that might help:

- Over-the-Counter Painkillers: Medications like ibuprofen and acetaminophen can help with mild aches and pains. However, consult your doctor before taking these, especially if you have other health conditions.
- Prescription Painkillers: For severe pain, doctors may prescribe opioids like morphine or oxycodone, but these can have side effects such as nausea, fatigue, and constipation.
- Steroid Medications: These can help reduce pain and swelling.
- Alternative Medications: Antidepressants, anti-seizure medicines, and corticosteroids may help with nerve pain, while bisphosphonates can relieve bone pain.
- Non-Medication Approaches: Exercise, acupuncture, and dietary changes have been reported to help manage pain. Some people find relief with hot showers, heating pads, or ice packs.
- Creams and Lotions: For skin discomfort from radiation therapy, medicated creams or lotions, aloe vera, or products like Eucerin or Aquaphor can be helpful.

If you're still struggling, it might be worth discussing alternative treatments or medications with your doctor. Additionally, connecting with others who understand your situation, such as through MyBCTeam, can provide support and new ideas for managing pain.
