How Is The Recovery Period After A Lumpectomy Plus Lymph Glands Removal? I Want To Know What To Expect Thank You
BTW, it can happen right after, weeks or months but if you get sensations like that its nerve damage.
I learned what it was from here and I also learned about Gabapentin here. Most women describe it as a burning sensation that comes and goes. Mine was severe and stayed every waking moment. Stinging and burning like salt was being poured into a wound and with that a God-awful sensation in my nipple. No one mentioned nerves being cut during surgery. I thought I would die if I had to live with that.
Oh my I will have to watch for that it has not been a week yet since surgery and I just have the burning under the arm so far. At least I would already know what it is!
Sending hugs
I didn't have any pain at the incision site and only minor ache at the Sentinel node incision. My problems started 2 weeks after with nonstop burning and stinging on the top part of my breast which was later diagnosed as nerve pain, and I have been taken Gabapentin ever since for that and it works. It took a month for it to work though.
