It sounds like you're experiencing postmastectomy pain syndrome (PMPS), often referred to as "Iron Bra Syndrome." Here are some strategies to help manage the chest tightness:

1. Physical Therapy: Consult a physical therapist experienced in post-breast cancer surgery recovery. They can guide you through exercises to improve mobility and reduce tightness.

2. Stretching: Gentle daily stretches targeting the chest, arms, and back can help ease muscle tightness. The American Cancer Society offers helpful stretch routines.

3. Comfortable Clothing: Avoid tight bras or clothing that aggravates the tightness. Many find bralettes or non-restrictive options more comfortable.

4. Exercise: Low-impact activities like swimming (once fully healed) or light resistance training can strengthen muscles and improve mobility.

5. Pain Management: Speak to your doctor about pain relief options, such as medications or nerve blocks, if the pain is severe.

6. Medical Opinion: Since this is affecting your well-being, consult your oncologist or surgeon to rule out other causes and ensure proper recovery.
