Can I Take Vitamins A, C, And E During Chemotherapy?
Dx Sept 2024 with Invasive DC stage 1 grade 2 ER+PR-Her2-, but oncotype score is 31 so I need chemo. I have researched vitamins and supplements. I have read conflicting information for antioxidant vitamins during chemo.
Great idea to check with the pharmacist. My oncologist said I could, but so much literature says the antioxidant vitamins can interfere with the cytotoxic effects of chemo. Hugs back to you.
Same here, my PCP is an integrated medicine specialist. Before we started chemo she ran a nutritional panel to see if I was lacking in anything- she suggested a few supplements, which we ran past the oncology pharmacist to make sure it would not interfere with chemo. All were approved, and we went from there! Hugs!
My oncologist wanted to know every vitamin I took. I think you should teach out to them because they are the experts regarding each chemotherapy regime. Mine was very open to supplements as long as it didn’t interfere with treatment
Start drinking soursop, green tea and dandelion teas. Also very powerful. I always told myself if I ever got cancer I'd never do chemo or radiation as I've seen how they wreck people's immune systems. Look up ivermectin and fenbendazole too.
The research is confusing about the use of the antioxidant vitamins during chemo. I have ordered the berberine, D3, K2, Alma and other supplements. I appreciate your response.
