I Have A Choice Whether To Do 4 Weeks Or Radiation Or More Intensive 1week 1 Day Radiation. Want To Hear From Memebers Who Had Same Decision
I didn't have regular radiation, which is different than Palliative radiation, but I think as far as side effects go the choices are both as effective as far as eradicating the cancer cells but the skin side effects are probably harsher with the 5 day course. But 5 days is more convenient, and you get to start the healing process rather than dragging it out for 4 weeks and then finally start the healing process.
Is it palliative or treatment? Either way I think I would choose the short course. I've read that studies show it to be just as effective.
