Should Surgery Happen After Treatment?
IDC overall Grade 2
It all depends on size, type etc. Sometimes treatment is first to try to either decrease tumor size or destroy it altogether.
I have seen some do it that way. I think sometimes the docs want to shrink the tumor first.
Bio markers can influence this. Positive lymph nodes, Triple negative (ER-PR-Her2-) and Her2+ with a larger tumor often do chemo first.
Wishing you well
For Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) Grade 2, surgery is typically the first treatment for localized cancer. However, if the cancer is more advanced or the tumor is large, chemotherapy may be given first to shrink the tumor before surgery. This approach is called neoadjuvant therapy. The decision depends on the tumor's size Show Full Answer
