Hair Growth
Has anyone suffered from permanent hair loss( alopecia) since chemo?😪
Hi Donna, good morning. Unfortunately it’s a very slow process growing hair back. Everyone is different. I was on weekly taxol chemo for 12 weeks. My hair is growing on a snails pace. I just started minoxidil so I’m hoping it helps a little. Good luck! Patients is key so I’m told. Hugs
I’m with you…no complaints here either!
I lost my hair after the first chemo treatment and it was slow to come back. My eyebrows are almost non existent and my eyelashes are skimpy BUT I'm still here so I have no complaints!!
Some chemotherapy drugs, like taxanes (e.g., docetaxel or paclitaxel), can cause permanent hair loss in rare cases. While most people regrow their hair after treatment, some may experience incomplete regrowth, especially in areas like eyelashes or eyebrows. I heard that as well, I’ll use it forever so it won’t. It’s good for your scalp and what little hair we have. It’s minoxidil with rosemary and biotin. I bought it on Amazon, not expensive at all. I figure it’s worth a try. I feel little sprouts after a few weeks. Sooner or later it has to grow. 😊
