Stage 2 B

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question 💭
Virginia Beach, VA

Has anyone been told that this stage cancer can affect breast color, causing redness? Ive been told that it could be due in part by the tumor being close to the surface of the skin. Has anyone heard/experienced this?🤫

Hi Ronna, I haven't heard of a redness being caused by the tumor, but my tumor was deep, near the chest wall. I have heard of inflammatory breast cancer, which will cause redness. I would ask my doctor if he/she has ruled out inflammatory breast cancer. Once you start radiation, it is normal to experience some redness, but you may not be that far along yet. I send my best to you! P.S. I heard that it snowed in VA Beach earlier this week!
