Hi Sue6!
I agree we should have all the information but in my case I was so scared that I can only comprehend simple instructions. My fear of cancer block my ability to understand everything. I think that is how our brain is wired so we can cope.

I was an oncology nurse and I thought I have a very good understanding of breast cancer but I learned more about breast cancer after I was diagnosed with it. And my full comprehension happened after my treatments. I am still learning and trying to catch up with the research on breast cancer. There is so much to learn.

Now, I am concentrating on getting to live my new normal which means eating healthy, exercising and getting closer to God!

Good luck!

I so agree Susie . If it wasn't for this site I never would have known about nerve damage from surgery or what helps it. Its like this deep mystery how we are not told everything and when we start this we are new to it so don't even know the questions to ask. Lucky is the woman who finds this group when she is just diagnosed before any of the next steps.

Hi Debbie, Thanks for your reply. It kind of makes me mad that we don't get ALL the info we need for post surgery. You have to navigate as things arise. How simple it would be if they just had a hand out of all the things to watch for and do.
