Thank you At least I know I'm not alone... Which is a great pill to swallow.

@A MyBCTeam Member I was just recently on xeloda, but had to stop taking it because of brutal side-effects it caused. I was first on 2000mg x2 daily. That's 8 pills a day! I had acute diarrhea from the beginning and lost 20lbs in a month and was severely dehydrated. I had to have 3 bags of IV fluids in a weeks time,and I developed cellulitis in my right arm with lymphadema. I had developed hand and foot syndrome that was debilitating. I couldn't hardly walk or use my hands because they had peeled till raw. After reducing the dosage to 1000mgs a day I continued taking it but my tumor marker numbers continued to elavate upward and my immune system tanked and came close to being hospitalized. Was taken off of it into cycle 6. Thank God! My hands and feet still peel a little. But my stomach is much better! I'm on another treatment now and hopefully it will start to shrink my tumors in my lungs. 😊🤞👍🙏🏻 My quality of life is very important to me. Xeloda took that away from me. I've always tried new treatments my oncologist suggested so I don't scare easily. But this drug I could not tolerate. I pray you have better results. Take care ! 😎👍👍🙏🏻❤️

Everybody is different but normally this makes you really tired, you could have trouble sleeping,, loss of appetite which could cause weight loss, lheadaches, tummy problems, and dizziness . Talk to your doctor and see if they can give you something equally as good without the side effects. Length of side effects again, depends on the duration of the meds and the individual.
