Has Anyone Had Issues With Their Finger And Toe Nails After Stopping Chemo?
Had white lines for each chemo session on my nails. Stopped chemo last November. I have to keep my nails short, they are very brittle. However I do take Biotin to help strengthen my nails and hair.
Oh and glue on eyelash strips are great and easy to put on and take off. I used them when I lost my lashes and wanted to be girlie.
YES, Dejavoodoo! My fingernails were very thin and split all the time. My toenails were also in a sad state. I found a supplement called HAIR/SKIN/NAILS with BIOTIN and have been taking it for about three years. My nails stay strong and healthy now, and I don't always have to wear polish to keep them from breaking.
my fingernails and toenails began lifting up off the nailbed and some of my toenails fell off completely! It was really strange...didn't really hurt, just strange.
Just my fingernails were brown and paper thin but I was told to keep them polished to protect them. My last chemo was January of this year and I had a manicure last month, the nail tech said she loved how healthy my nails were. Little did she know that these are brand new nails :)
