Did Anyone Else Have Insomnia On Arimidex? Mine Started After Ten Weeks. Do Not Want Sleeping Pills.
I noticed this post and as an update, I stopped taking anything a year ago after just 5 mths. of hormone blockers for stage 1 IDC and bilateral mx. I also have severe osteoporosis. I most likely had osteoporosis prior to tx. but who knows? I take Algaecal and exercise for that. I started feeling better within a few weeks of stopping and have felt great this past year for which I am grateful. This was the right decision for me whatever the future brings.
I hate insomnia! I have to get up at at 5:00 am to go to work, and rarely get more than 6 hours of sleep ever, and that's with waking every 2 hours. The hot flashes! The night sweats! Hot cold all night long. I should write a song.
You don't want sleeping pills, but the ones I used during a/c for nausea and restlessness worked great for sleeping and not addictive either. It called for one or two under the tounge and I just needed one. Sleep is so important, I needed good sleep to cope and heal. Hugs!!!
I wake up every night in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and takes hours sometimes to go back to sleep. I never connected it to my Arimidex - interesting! If someone has a natural remedy, I'd like to hear about it too!
I am taking Turmeric (curcumin) pills for my joint pain. A friend told me she took it for severe pain as her doctors told her she would have to take pain killers the rest of her life to manage the shoulder pain. I take 1 pill with fish or cod liver oil twice a day. Turmeric is a spice so it has not interacted with my meds. The extra bonus was that it lowered my Chloresterol 40 points which was a real blessing. Thanks for the tip about the insomnia Never connected it to the meds. I worked through radiation, but was tired some days. Had good employer. Check with ADA on your rights as some employers don't have a clue that they need to make accommadations as it is the LAW
