Are Itching Bumps On The Head A Precursor To Hair Loss?

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had my first chemo treatment on Jan 11, and will have my second treatment on Jan 24. I have not experienced any hair loss yet, but I'm getting itchy bumps on my head - is this a sign that hair loss is coming?

No bumps but it was that same pain you get from wearing a ponytail too long. My Dr said day 17 my hair would fall out and it did.

It was itching so bad I couldn't take it so I had my husband shaved my hair off.

Day 21 after my first chemo was, unfortunately Thanksgiving. I woke up that a.m. and my pillow was full of hair. I didn't have itchy bumps, but my nurse said day 21 was "right on time".

Yes, my whole scalp actually hurt, then hair fell out in clumps during the course of 1 day, that night shaved what didn't fall out.
