Has Anyone Shaved Down Completely Bald And Would They Recommend It? I Still Have Some Patches Of 1/8" Nubs That Itch And Irritate.
I saw a photo of Joan Lunden with a shaved head and she looked fierce. I went out in public after shaving to 1/8" but it's gotten patchy. Not cool.
I have completely embraced bald. I should also mention that I'm a hairstylist in a high end salon. Everyone needs to do what is comfortable for them, but yesterday I actually used my razor in the shower. I'm actually on the tail end of things that now weird little hairs are starting to come back. I'm going to shave it until it is ALL ready to come back. I've had mostly great responses and kids crack me up. Best of luck on your decision.
I shaved mine - I didn't like the feel of my bald scalp though. But if you don't shave it it will keep falling out in the house. Later being bald empowered me. Yes I was bald, yes I had cancer, yes I was on top of it. I have found that with cancer you must do a lot of self talk -
Now my hair is coming back in - at first it was flat - no curl, very soft, in the last week it has become curly - wild and curly - I love it. Uncontrollable and wild. Maybe not proper for a 73 year old woman but I have been through hell and still going on that road = yes, I have earned the right have a wild hair do. Sadly I have heard that I will lose the curl in about a year, but I am enjoying it while I can.
Last round!! Congratulations, I wish you well. BTW. ..you look great .. let us know how your hair comes in.
Thanks but I actually shaved it all the way down 3 weeks ago and I love it. Will let it start growing now that I had last round this week.
Don't shave to close irritates hair follicles 1/4" trim is good keep moisturizing with Eucerin lotion just keep it all lightly trimmed. Shaved but not closely
