Plastic surgeon wants to take tissue expanders out and liposuction my tummy and put the fat into my breasts. Has anyone else tried this procedure?

I had exactly the same thing done when I had my implant put in. The amount of fat that they liposuctioned out of the stomach was not a lot but it was used to fill in areas around the implant so that I have a more rounded natural look. The stomach was tender for awhile but not bad at all. I would recommend it to anyone else I really liked the look that I ended up with.

I know a few women who have had this done and I think it depends on the doctor and each person as to how the results will turn out. I think in some parts of the country this is a very common practice, but not as common in others. The most common thing I've heard is that the fat they inject into your breasts only lasts for so long and they usually have to over inject (assuming that only 50%-75% of the fat they inject will remain in place). I would ask your doctor about his experience with the procedure, about how much fat they will take and inject vs. what will remain in the weeks and months after surgery and if you would have to have the procedure done again in a few years.

My plastic surgeon said you have to put fat in with a blood supply or it will die over time so liopsuction would only work very temporarily. He is one of the top doctors where I live. Ask your other cancer Dr. who to go for a second opinion.
