My genetic testing was negative. I did show a variant of uncertain significance, which I was told not to worry. The first couple of weeks after the mastectomy I felt great. It was within the second to third week I became fatigued. I've experienced complications with the expander implant in the Rt. breast causing 2 infections a month apart from one another which gives reasoning to why I was fatigued. My body was fighting the infection. I don't want to scare you because everyone is different. I just happen to be that one patient that does not behave 😇. As mentioned before, even when I had my cardiac ablation, I was supposed to have it after the baby was born, not during the pregnancy. I apologize I wrote 42 weeks, it was done at 32 weeks, and he was born at 39 weeks.

I had a double Mastectomy without reconstructive surgery. I just got fitted for a bra and inserts. So for Easter I’m getting a white, black, and nude color bras, and a pair of Easter Eggs to insert. Yea, going to church looking like a woman in my Easter outfit. 😃

It was recommended for me to have the mastectomy based on the masses found. Although it was in one breast, I didn't want to risk cancer spreading to the other and didn't want to put myself through it again so I opted to have both done. Good luck on your decision. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
