Wig Or Not?
I have worn my wig twice since losing my hair in June. I wore hats and still do. Headed back to work in two weeks...wondering if I should go natural. I think my flattened short hair now may be okay but as it grows it may get interesting. What did others do?
I had been about to look into wigs because my own hair was sparse (probably one hair per 1/4 inch) and baby fine. I have a couple of attractive synthetic wigs, courtesy of Care Navigation at my hospital. I think I'm going to stick with them for a while longer. They really are much easier: you get the make-up and clothes on then put on your hair. Most synthetic wigs seem to maintain their shape without much help. I give mine a good shake and they're ready to wear. (Beats wash, condition, dry, curl, comb.
I tried wigs but they were so uncomfortable for me. I just wore a bandana and ball cap or tried to rock my GI Jane. it was more comfortable than a wig.
I wore pretty scarves until the weather warmed up. Then I went without and let the world see my very short hair. I even had a few women tell me they didn't have the guts to get a haircut that short for the summer. LOL. Like I had a choice. But that is just me. And your hair will grow back. I'm almost ready for my 2nd haircut in a year.
Took my hat off when it was short, short, short. Everyone at work was fine.
I had a wig that I only wore 3 times..I wore bandanas until my hair started to come in then I stopped wearing them. do what your comfortable with
