I am experiencing neuropathy with taxol. The goal is to prevent permanent damage. I bring frozen water bottles and slip one in each sock and hold one to my finger tips in each hand during the infusion. The cold constricts blood vessels preventing the drug from reaching the extremities. I still have neuropathy, but have to believe it could be worse.

I'm the same at hope70, but my oncologist stopped the last two rounds of chemo yesterday to be safe that I won't have permanent neuropathy. It's been two weeks since my last therapy and the feeling and tingling IS lessening!! Nurse also mentioned vit B helps.

I had my Taxol#10 yesterday. For the last coouple of weeks I experienced some tingling and numbness in my fingers ans sometimes in my toes. It comes and goes away. As long as it not getting worse or not constant, it won't be permanent per my Doc.

My oncologist did not hear about it until round -10-! kinda funny seems that us woman don't always tell them 'everything'. He said it's not worth trying to be trooper, but I still wanted to finish my last two rounds. For piece of mind I guess, but he would not allow me. So, I don't know if that will haunt me that I did not finish all my rounds?!? I was really upset all weekend. :-((
