I had a BMX with immediate permanent silicone implant reconstruction. I had skin and nipple sparing so I have my own! The results are awesome!

I had reconstruction of my right breast after mastectomy. I have a saline implant. My reconstruction included a nipple made from some skin from my armpit and a tattoo of the areola. It looks very natural.

I had nipple reconstruction - it's good to have some point of focus on each breast - but they DO flatten out over time.

Many options are available when it comes to reconstruction. There are tissue sparing techniques that can preserve nipples depending on location of tumor. I was able to save my nipples while having bilateral mastectomy. Your PS can share options specific to your needs. Best of luck.
