The only one I have any experience with is Taxotere. It caused my hair to fall out; an infection on my head and in the vaginal area; two fingernails turned black; neuropathy in my legs; my fingers started peeling. None of these were life-threatening, though, and I didn't have to take extra drugs for nausea.

I had every side effect except nausea. The hair loss started at exactly 2 weeks. By day 5 of hair loss I just shaved off. It was really annoying picking off clumps of hair that were sticking to me because of heat. I'm started 2nd dose on Wednesday so let's hope this goes a little easier.

I will start my TCHP chemo 5/5/22. Can you please let me know the side effects and I need to be attentive of what to expect before my first chemo.

Hi. I kept my nails and toes painted during my TCHP chemo and had no loss. I also used a cold cap and shed about 50% of my hair, but not in clumps so it wasn't noticeable. Now my hair is growing back curly and thick. I did have some nausea but took the drugs for that and drank gingerale. I ate baked potatoes and applesauce on days that I felt tummy troubles. Make sure to take the nausea meds and stay on top of it. There is no reason to let yourself vomit. You will do just fine but expect to feel tired and take claritin for bone pain. :)

Yesterday I had my second round of Perjeta, Herceptin & Taxotere. The first round was bad with High fever,chills,head ache,mouth sores, face pimples, dizziness, very low blood pressure and major fatigue . So far this time just a little tired so far but it is only day one.
