Lymph Nodes
My lymph nodes have been weird for the past week. I have a swollen node behind my right ear and one at the base of my skull also on the right side. Yesterday, I noticed two small lumps above my mastectomy scar on my right side. (I had a bilateral mastectomy with lymph node dissection in September.) Are the lumps above my scar swollen lymph nodes? Of course, these things happen on the weekend. Has anyone else experienced this?
I would most certainly contact my physician because anything that is not "normal" for you should be answered to your satisfaction. They know about side effects, consequences of surgery and other interactions with medications. Especially if lymph nodes are involved. Sometimes it's scar tissue but if something as simple as a massage can eliminate the pain, check with your physician and rest your mind. I pray for healing for you. Take care! Marina
I'm on Tamoxifen. I made an appointment with my general practitioner, and I have an appointment with my oncologist next week. Thank you for the help. It really does put my mind at ease.
