Did Anyone Have Any Major Tooth Problems While On Chemo?
A friend (not cancer patient) hinted that she had heard about bad tooth problems from chemo but she thought it was "childhood" cancer. She doesn't want to tell me what she heard but now I'm curious. Did anyone loose teeth or have any other major problems with their teeth while on chemo? I see the doctor tomorrow before my next chemo section so wanted to be prepared to ask questions about that if there was something to be concerned about. Thanks!!
The dentist did say chemotherapy can cause gingivitis and attributed mine to that. He's been my regular dentist for a long time and knows I have never had this before. :)
Yes I love the biotine - my regular toothpaste was burning and so now I use the toothpaste and the rinse and having no problems
Over the course of 3 years, year 5 to 8 post treatment, i lost all of my teeth to crumbling breaking, the molars and incisors were the last to go
Sorry I'm so late in chirping in but I have not had one problem with my gums or teeth from chemo or radiation.
I went to the dentist after chemo was done. says I need 4 teeth extracted due to bone loss. I am so upset. Is there no end to this stuff?
