Recovery Time After Exchange Surgery.
I finished chemo three weeks ago and I am having my port removed and exchange surgery this week. I am thinking I will go back to work four weeks after exchange surgery. I work a physically demanding job and in twelve hour shifts. My energy level is still a bit lower than usual due to chemo.
How was your recovery from exchange surgery? How long did it take to feel normal or close to normal again?
I'm still not ready to return to work! I ended up retiring...hope to return to something one day...my last treatment was February 2015 and port removed in March 2015
I have to take off 6 weeks because I can't have any restrictions when I go back to work. I had my exchange surgery on April 20. My incision is about 2 inches long. Haven't had a lot of pain. The implant feels so much better than the expander.
@A MyBCTeam Member. I agree and for some reason you made me laugh!' I agree with you totally but just hadn't put it all together yet!!
And I do need money to pay medical bills and pay for a vacation I must plan to celebrate kicking cancers a##. :) I do plan to change my attitude about things. Stress is mostly from the way we react to things. I am looking at things differently now.
God Bless you "Katen246
