My hair is so thin, I had my husband give me a very short haircut. I wear a wig when I go out. I did order a laser brush and it is really starting to help. I have new hair sprouting all along the front of my hairline. It is coming in wirey and wavy but I have hair.

Hope it works for you too. I have my six month checkup next week and will talk to my onc about it. I am about ready to go back to my wig! I have always had pretty thick hair. After chemo it came back in finer and some thinner, but still OK. Now that I have been taking Femara for 8 months, it is getting thinner and thinner. I also was going to take Biotin, but then I thought...if chemo kills hair, nails and cancer....wouldn't Biotin nourish the nails, hair AND THE CANCER??

No hair loss no weight gain

I'm presently on anastrozole but having side effects. I emailed my oncologist and asked if I could possibly try the femara (letrazole) to see if it was easier to handle. The side effects listed for both are similar but I have heard people on here say the Femara was better. Are you gaining weight on it? I've lost 30 lbs since this whole BC thing started in Feb this year so I hope these meds don't put it back on! I also saw a disturbing effect listed on both that was "hair loss" - I'm just to where I can have a very short pixie and not wear a wig so I don't want to go backwards!

Still on Ibrance & Letrozole for almost 10 months now. No new mets during this 10 months and not a great deal of pain. If I walk a lot, my leg and hip hurt plus I limp most of the time. I do not take Oxycontin anymore for pain. Bad "stuff." I just take Tylenol for minor pain & Tramadol for major pain.
