Has anyone started new employment after your diagnosis/treatment and did you disclose your cancer to them as a disability?

I just started a new job (finished treatment in October/ surgery in November- reconstruction scheduled for July) I didn't disclose my disability. My choice came from the way I was treated by my prior employer. I will let them know anything as it comes and if I absolutely have to.

I don't have any disabilities or restrictions as a result of my BC. I probably wouldn't bring it up with an employer, but I also don't make any attempt to hide my flatness. I don't know (and don't care) if people notice. i think most would assume I'm small breasted, not breast-less. Breasts or breast cancer don't define me or should influence m ability to do my job.

I disclosed to my last 2 employers.... but in my case, the only thing disclosure gets me is accomodations when/if I need them. That's not the way it goes with every employer, of course, but I've been pretty fortunate that way.

I was diagnosed 6 weeks after I started my job. They were very supportive and now I've been there almost 5 years.

I just started a new job. I didn't tell them. Not the first thing they need to know about me. I'm done with treatment and ready to move forward.
