I Just Started Radiation. I Am Getting "Canadian Fractionated Irradiation" Also Known As "accelerated Hypofractionated". Anyone Else?
@A MyBCTeam Member, it's a rads schedule that, say, instead of 6 weeks at a certain rad becomes denser, meaning the same total rad load over 3 weeks. Kind of like the idea of 'dose-dense chemo'.
Hope this helps.

Funny you should ask---I live in SC, but when the therapist said this---I laughed because I AM a quarter Canadian, and asked how did they know? haha. I have a load of responsibilities and was happy to have the reduced time commitment. Thank you for your suggestions.
Hi there, crazy cat-lady, it seems to me that there are far fewer getting AHFR than are eligible, especially in the States. Perhaps this fact might account for your question not having been answered, as of yet. I believe in the area called 'Meet Others' one can narrow searches by treatment and other factors. Maybe you'd find others with your particular rads through a search. If you're concerned about your upcoming experience, as best as I can tell there's negligible difference in outcome, even to ten years. In fact, the most significant difference is in cost, and, even that seems modest. Are you Canadian? I had standard fractionation, myself; I dIdnt meet the criteria.
I hope this helps in some fashion.
