I am wondering if anyone has heard of, know someone who is taking or is taking Ibrance? Ibrance is a fairly new "Chemo Pill" that they approved in February 2015. It is supposed to kill all cancer cells in your body, but not harm the good cells. They say it is 95% effective! I have been on it for over a month now..luckily no side effects from it..or at least..not yet! So far my blood work is good since I've been taking it! I'm praying it really works for me! I have metastatic BC to the Pleura. Iā€¦ read more

@A MyBCTeam Member It's only been a month for me. The hair on my head seems to be the same thickness but my mustache isn't as thick as it used to be. A blessing in disguise?

Hi Christina, i have been on Ibrance/Letrozole and Xgeva since April of 2016, so almost a year. I am experiencing the same sort of labs, with the tumor markers jumping from one month to the other. My CBC with differential also is all abnormal, but all of that is the side effect from the combination of drugs. hope all is well, and we are all cancer free

My mom just started on it. She just has be diagnosed with reoccurance and mets to lungs, and bones. She said the side effects are much like tamoxifen -which I take. She has the drug paid for by a foundation as her insurance wouldn't cover. I pray this is the next really good oral drug for us survivors

Hi, I've just started Ibrance this month. So far so good. You and I have similar situation. I have metistatic breast cancer with mets in my lungs, back and liver. Will find out Tuesday if it has gone to my pelvis. Hope the ibrance works for both of us.

It's been a ten year adjustment to the lingo for me. That part gets easier. Even though 10 years has past and it's easier to say I am stage IV with mets, it's still just as hard to know what that means to my life as it did the day I was diagnosed with it in 2007. Good thing though I am motivated everyday to live positively and in the moment. One day those scans will not show any signs of cancer. It is just takes some hard work getting there. That's what I look forward to. The wonderful results of all the hard work.
