Have any ladies whom have had breast implants experience lumps? I had bilateral mastectomy with immediate breast reconstruction with final surgery of implants. It will be 2 years the end of this month since I have had my implants. I have to say it has been the most challenging and most times uncomfortable. Recently I discovered a lump on the right side and have experienced pain. I am scheduled for an MRI to see what this lump is. I am a bit anxious and praying this lump is not the c word. I… read more

Yes we will. Painful at times but keep moving and using that arm and it starts to break up. Just part of the new normal πŸ˜‰ let me know how you are doing. Just breathe πŸ’œ

I have had a couple lumps checked out over four years since placement. One was a suture granuloma, the other a buckling of the implant. Most women, reconstructed or not and if all types of therapies, will have a reason at some point to have a lump or bump checked out. It is par for the course, my friend. Know that you’re doing exactly as you should.

I had bilateral double mastectomy on 7/30 & now I have severe swelling in the left breast where the cancer was & they removed some lymph nodes back in 8/2015 , now I have seromas in that area I am waiting on U/S so they can drain the seromas, & because I had radiation therapy from 10/2015 to Jan 2016 my surgeon & oncologist said my revonstruction have to be 4-6 months , I am going for my consultation with the plastic surgeon on 9/12 so he can evaluate me and let me know the type of surgery because I would like to use my own fat , instead of implants , will keep you updated ,

Yes, I have many lumpy places - had bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction all in one surgery (4.5 years out). I had an MRI last spring just to check the lumps and all was fine - they did it as a precaution. I hope all goes well - did you have radiation as well?
