I had tons of drenching hot flashes during chemo at 46. The treatment put me into menopause. But it quit after my year of treatment. I am a 12 yr survivor.

I have been reading up on it. If it is beyond the hot flashes, i.e. excessive sweating, there is a name for it. Says it could point to some other underlying problem but in most cases, it is harmless. The condition is called hyperhidrosis.

When I say extreme sweating, I mean, pouring out that you have to put towels on the couch and everywhere to keep from ruining everything.

If I were you, I would play it safe and shoot it past your doctor. I had night sweats (gone now) and pillows would be damp at night. But it ceases and was not debilitating. Also, tell your doctor whether it is a full body sweat, or whether the sweat is coming from particular spots, such as feet, head, armpits, arms,.

What is real interesting is I read that Botox is a remedy that doctors prescribe for the excessive sweating

Botulinum toxin: Another treatment option for heavy sweating is injections of botulinum toxin A (Botox), the same medicine used for wrinkles. Botox is FDA-approved for treating excessive sweating of the underarms, but some doctors may also use it on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet

YES! I am told it is from the medication - Anastrolzole. I also take blood pressure Rx that can cause sweating.
