Implants After Reconstruction

Hi all. I finally had my exchange surgery and I’m thrilled to now have implants. Does the feeling of “something is in there” go away? I think I had high expectations after dealing with the expanders for so long. It’s been a month and I was thinking I feel more “normal.”

Had my implants put in back in June. I still sometimes feel like there is something pressing against my chest, but less often. But my biggest problem is that you can see rippling under my skin. It very obvious and my surgeon told me fat grafting is not a option. They only solution is to remove them and try implants that are bigger and firmer to try to eliminate the ripples. Trying to decide if it is worth another surgery.

I just had my expander out Sept 10th it certainly feels like there is something in there but it doesn’t feel as awkward as the expander. Think of how long it took your body to adjust to the hardness off the expander now you need to adjust to the softness of the implant.

Had mine for 7 months and definitely fell more normal last 2 months or so. No long feel like have a bra I can't take off. Had nipples made last month and that helps me look more normal.
