Anyone Decline Chemo With A High RS Score On Oncotye?

My score was high but all my pathology was great. Plan to decline chemo due to toxicity and no data about others who had done the same.

No, ki-67 is the proliferation rate, how fast the tumor is growing. The oncotype is a test done for ER/PR+, on the actual tumor. It tests the genetics of it see how likely it is to come back, or if it left something behind.

Based on my oncotype my Oncologist said I may benefit from chemo... I declined. I am taking letrozole right now, so far so good.

Maybe talk to your doctor and ask why it is recommended, and the chance of recurrence or metastasis with out chemo. The oncotype looks more the genetics of that tumor, with chance starting backup than the pathology and margins removed.
Good luck! There is so much to navigate on this stressful journey!

I declined chemo because with research I found it only increased my chances of not coming back by 2.7%. Not enough for a 70 yr old. My oncologist recommended chemo but respected my decision. I did get surgery, proton therapy and3 years of hormone pills. No regrets

Did you get an oncotype score? I guess you are getting chemo.
