Who's Had A Full Hysterectomy With Salpingo-oophorectomy? Leaning Toward Getting One Myself.

Curious, who's had a full hysterectomy with salpingo-oophorectomy? Leaning toward getting one myself for the added protection and hopefully more peace of mind vs my other options. Would love to hear from others who've had it done and their experiences with it along with any tips/tricks you've learned along the way. Thanks so much!! šŸ™šŸ˜šŸ’–

@A MyBCTeam Member mastectomy recovery can be a bit rough to be honest but you learn to adapt and find resources/tools to help to make it through just like the rest of the treatments we go through. A small price to pay to still be alive is how I like to look at it. The good news is I keep hearing the hysterectomy is a way easier surgery for most people. Wishing you the best on your upcoming surgeries!!šŸ™šŸ˜šŸ’–šŸ’Ŗ

I will also be getting this soon and so ready to. I have the breast cancer gene and Iā€™m not taking any chances. I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the 2nd time after a 12 year remission in the opposite breast. Was diagnosed was stage 4 because it spread to fluid In my lungs and in my abdomen. This was in March of this year. Currently on cycle 3 of 6 weekly chemo and Keytruda. Had scans yesterday and no evidence of cancer. I have 3 more months of weekly chemo then I will be getting a bi lateral mastectomy and a hysterectomy.
