So get ahead of the game and begin Turmeric, eat Vitamin D rich foods. Get your joint & bone health in better shape before you begin treatment. I use Turmeric powder and put 1/2 teaspoon in boiling water w/Tumeric tea bag.

Turneric capsules? I do not know which hormone they are going to have me take, this scares me almost as much as the surgery did. I have read such horrible stories of the pain it causes people

I'm taking Letrozole (like Anastrozole--it's an aromatase inhibitor) and immediately had joint pain. Three over the counter supplements really helped me.

After doing online research (and getting my doctor's approval) I started taking these three supplements (with food):Calcium 600MG+D3 (twice a day) for bone health, Glucosamine 500 mg (once a day) for joint health and Turmeric (in capsule form once a day*) to address inflammation response and joint health.

To prevent stomach upset, I take the Calcium 12 hours apart. I also increased my movement in my arms (raising them to shoulder height or as much as I could, then lowering them)--think slow "chicken dance" either standing--if I had energy or at a seated position when I was tired. I do this three or four times a day.

After three months, the joint pain has eased. It's not completely gone, but I'm pleased with the results so far. Btw, I found all these supplements at the Dollar Tree.

* I add regular black pepper to the food I am eating (like beans or scrambled eggs) when I take the Turmeric capsule--pepper is supposed to boost the effect of this capsule.

Hope this helps. Please keep us updated on your progress!!

I have been on anastrozole just over 1 year. I’m 68 and have some normal aches and pains and think the anastrozale adds to that and I also feel a bit more tired and am gaining weight as it slows your metabolism (but I’m also not exercising as much as I used to)

Nothing terrible and I know that it is fighting my estrogen driven breast cancer from coming back so it is what it is!
