Has Anyone Taking Versenio Had Their Kidney Functions Rise ?

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question 💭
Omaha, NE

My oncologist said versenio does not usually affect your kidney function but my PCP said it does in like 95 percent of people. I called my pharmacist and she said it does and requires the versenio dose to be decreased. Just wondering what others experienced have been. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I was also started on 250 and decreased to 200 then 100 mg. I don’t want to decrease my chance of returning cancer and end up on dialysis! I am surprised that my oncologist says it doesn’t affect your kidney numbers as that is not what my primary care doc says and not what the pharmacist says, say but he is the oncologist??

My kidney numbers went up on verenzio. I am on 100 mg. Started on the 250mg, then 200, now 100.

I was on verzenio a year ago but wasn’t on it long because it gave me really bad neuropathy. Hadn’t heard about kidney issues. Hope you get to the bottom of it. God bless and be safe.
