Is Anyone Taking Tamoxifen As A Preventative Measure??
I have had 2 sisters and my mom with breast cancer so my Drs have put me on 10mg of Tamoxifen daily as a preventative measure, along with aggressive screening. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation. I am concerned about 5 years of medication - I hear the side effects are pretty bad......
I know if my mom and sisters had Breast cancer and I was offered to take something as a preventative measure I would. At least until your doctor can figure something else out but this alone sounds like a good idea.
I think with your family history that doing anything not to get it would be worth it. You will always improve when you can get off it.
