Hi Barbara, I started having pain in my rib and it would go around to my back. Then one night I had muscle spasms so bad that I couldn't get out of bed. I had to go to the ER and they ordered a CT scan which showed the lesion, and several herniated disks. The next day my primary care doctor ordered the MRI...and the journey began.

Exactly @A MyBCTeam Member Breast cancer can come back above and below the Breast and women don't know until they feel pain somewhere. By that time its been there for some time. Its the insurance companies who won't pay for these scans.

Diane139, I don't get it either that they don't take any imaging of your body after you've had surgery and chemo. I am always asking why and they don't have a good answer. I think I am going to insist on it pretty soon. If they don't do the imaging how can they keep track of what's going on in your body.

I am sorry to hear that @A MyBCTeam Member . Many women have found out about their Breast cancer by going in for something else. I said once to a doctor in the ER 'Every time I come here for something, something else is found' and he said ' That we aren't always good at fixing something but we are good at finding things'. Happens every time. ❤️
